Drumrash ~ Beltex Flock
After losing the flock of Bluefaced Leicesters in the 2001 foot and mouth outbreak we had a rethink of what to replace my 5 BFL females with.
In early 2002 we had a trip to Belgium the home of the Beltex, where we purchased 10 in lamb ewes from different flocks. After the shuffling about we got them home 2 days before they started to lamb. Then the fun began, not easy to lamb the first year but with experience we are managing better now.
